Especially when used under the most rigorous conditions. The 5620 has an aggressive self-defense styled bezel face with a rugged anodized aircraft-grade aluminum body was designed to be tough and durable, but it is far from indestructible. I just can’t emphasize enough just how handy the power indicator really is. The power button glows in the dark and has a battery indicator built in letting the user know when the three triple AAA batteries reach a battery life of less than 20%. The power button is located on 5620’s base with a magnetic ring surrounding the button providing hands-free lighting when attached to steel surfaces. With most 200+ lumen flashlights costing upwards of $80, this flashlight is a very affordable alternative. However, with a little digging, you can usually find it for less than $40. The Nebo 5620 Redline Select Flashlight is a high-output flashlight capable of emitting a blinding 310 lumens with an MSRP of only $49.99. However, this article will only focus on the Nebo 5620 Redline Select Flashlight. I purchased the Nebo 5620 Redline Select Flashlight for around the house and the Nebo 5581 Redline Tactical Flashlight for my range bag. They seemed reasonably priced so I thought I would give them a try. At one of my local gun shops, they had a Nebo display on the counter. This time, I decided to try something better. And every time you need them to work, they fail. Over the years I have bought dozens of flashlights. This feature keeps you from having to cycle through each setting to get to the mode that you need. To improve functionality of the 5 lighting modes, a smart select dial has been added to quickly and conveniently choose your lighting mode while the light is on or off. The REDLINE® Select is named ‘Select’ for a reason. To go into stealth mode, simply turn the stealth ring clockwise to block light from shining through the red ring. The signature red ring is now coupled with a stealth ring. The ergonomic body is suited with heat-sinks which are used to disperse heat from the flashlight during extended periods of time. In addition to the steel belt clip, the Select also has a lanyard to make sure it is always within reach. Our brightest flashlight to date, the Select features 310 lumens of intense white light which can be seen over 200 yards away (in spot light mode.) 310 Lumens is maximum performance, but what is extreme convenience? The convenience features of this flashlight prove one thing…that we listen to our customers. Our newest addition to the REDLINE® series, the REDLINE® Select combines maximum performance with extreme convenience. There are better and less expensive lights on the market now, but I still like the feel of real metal in my hand.Written by Steve Ackerman on | 0 comments Not a huge deal, but if you're out in the woods, rain, snow. And the screw-down lens cover and battery cover are prone to loosen. ![]() The on-off clicker kinda gets a mind of its own sometimes. So far, it's proven durable, but I have had a couple of problems. You can twist the ring a little and the glow is eliminated. Can't think of any reason for this other than it looks cool. When it's exposed, a red glow emits around the head of the light. This unit is called the Redline because there is a red translucent ring around the bulb. ![]() ![]() Operating is easy-just push the "clicker" built into the butt of the light, then use the dial at the back end to select your setting. At 50% power, claimed run is 5 hrs, 10% gets you 12 hrs. At full-power (310 lumens), the claim is 2 hrs of run-time, but after 30-45 minutes, you can see the light starting to fade. It takes three AAA's, and you better take some extras. And it has an SOS and a strobe setting-hopefully you never need those!! The beam can be focused from a spot to a broad wash of light, perfect for those really, really dark nights. Stainless steel construction is hefty in the hand, not like the cheapo plastic lights that I also have. ![]()
